2D Shapes (Math)
Rationale:
I included this lesson because it was the follow-up to my 2D and 3D shapes lesson, and I also felt that it went really well. The students enjoyed the smart board activity and the worksheet and I personally felt a stronger teacher presence this day than I had up to then.
If I were to teach this lesson again, I would research the definition of a "shape" before the lesson, so that I could explain it to the students, for I realized that they didn't all know how to identify shapes when one students referred to a shape as a line.
TA notes:
- Another great lesson
- The repetition is great
- You had a stronger presence today. Your voice was also more varied.

This was the worksheet that the students completed at the end of the lesson. It was a form of assessment, for I collected them and was able to see whether the students could correctly recognize their 2D shapes. I also had them count the number of each shape that they found (ex. 2 triangles) and interestingly, they all forgot to count the small rectangles that are seen in the rectangular chimney.
